Salt & Pepper: an authentic taste of Chinese-Mancunian flavour

You know how everyone bangs on about how Chinese food in the UK is nothing like the real deal? Well Salt & Pepper are flipping the script on that idea and bringing us classic British food with an Asian twist.

In each dish, from chicken strips to grilled steak, Salt & Pepper blends the East and the West, and the results are as mouth watering as you might expect. The stand has long been a favourite with the city’s foodie influencers, and despite being a humble food stand at Arndale Market, the queues will confirm that it’s one of the best places to eat in Manchester.

What to expect from Salt & Pepper Manchester

Salt & Pepper is one of the best places to eat in Manchester, but it’s not a sit down meal kind of spot. If you’re looking for a hangover take away, or a delicious box to carry with you as you stroll around town then Salt & Pepper has the scran for you.

Just like your favourite Chinese takeaway, you can choose chips, rice, or half and half as the side with each meal. Or if you fancy throwing in another cuisine altogether you can choose to have your main as the filling in a flatbread. A bit like an Asian take on Nandos, you can choose your sauce levels from lemon mayo to sichuan chilli.

What we’re trying to say is: whatever you’re into and whatever you’re craving, Salt & Pepper is the take away you need.
