Parmogeddon: bringing Middlesbrough’s finest to Manchester

Middlesbrough’s finest export (we’re talking about the parmo, by the way) has made it to Manchester… Actually, it made it about two years ago. But if you’re one of the few Northerners that this culinary delight hasn’t yet reached, let us fill you in: parmo is a breaded and fried chicken cutlet, covered in a rich bechamel sauce, and topped with a heap of cheese. It’s grilled until melted and perfectly gooey and usually served with chips and garlic sauce. And our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

Sold? We don’t blame you. Parmo isn’t exactly the spot to visit if you’re on a diet but you’ll want to schedule it in for cheat days. So now you’re wondering where to get parmo in Manchester, right? Well that’s where Parmogeddon comes in.

Parmogeddon opened in Hatch in 2019 and despite a rocky couple of years for the hospitality industry, they made it through – and we can’t say we’re surprised. Pandemic or no pandemic, Manchester needs its fill of parmo.

What to expect from Parmogeddon Manchester

As well as the classic parmo that comes just as the Northerners like it, Parmogeddon’s fresh twists on the takeaway classic is what’s earned their name as one of the best places to eat in Manchester. Buffalo sauce and blue cheese, chorizo and hot sauce, and truffle mac and cheese are just a few of the innovative takes on offer.

And if you don’t eat chicken, don’t feel left out. Parmogeddon has a veggie option made with cauliflower steak that tastes just as good (because let’s be honest, it’s all about that cheese). There’s also parmo brioche burgers, mozzarella sticks, and loaded fries on the menu if you want to go all out.

What you should know about Parmogeddon Manchester

Everything at Parmogeddon is made from scratch. And we’re not just talking about the parmo itself. The chefs make their own chips and sauces so you won’t find anything like it anywhere else.

Located in Hatch, the pop up place next to Oxford Road, so it’s a fun and convenient spot surrounded by other vibey places to eat, drink, and shop. Swing by for dinner, or make a whole evening of it.
