Crome: London’s first and only French toast cafe

Who doesn’t love French toast? It’s a dessert, it’s breakfast, and it’s the perfect treat when you need a sugary pick me up. But Crome takes the classic toast stacks a step further, with twists on all your favourite brunches including sweet and savoury toppings.

Crome also specialises in freshly roasted coffee and boasts an impressive menu of frappes, coloured lattes, and cold brews among other soft drinks. It’s open until 11am every day so if you’re looking for one of the best breakfasts in London, this is the spot to enjoy it at any time!

What to expect from Crome London

Crome’s mouth watering brioche French toast is fried in butter until golden, topped with a triple cheese mix which is then toasted to caramelisation (aka perfection) and served with your choice of flavours. From salt beef to chilli cheese cheeto, salted caramel to stuffed Nutella and popcorn, there’s a French toast topping to serve all tastes… Even if you didn’t know it.

For savoury fans I recommend the shakshuka, feta, and poached egg. Or if you prefer something sweet, the simple ‘berry best’ served with vanilla ice cream is the perfect adaptation of the classic French toast you probably already know and love.

What you should know about Crome London

Beyond it’s delicious dining offerings, Crome has a pretty unmissable aesthetic. It’s lilac walls and bespoke booths will have even the Instagram shy pulling out their cameras, while the chrome accents feel minimal and chic.

Located on St James Street, not far from Bond Street Station, it’s the perfect spot to pop into on a day out in Central London – fuel your shopping trip, or pop in after dinner to satisfy your sweet cravings.

Why you should go to Crome London

The great thing about Crome is that you don’t have to love deserts to enjoy their typically sweet offerings. The savoury dishes are just as tasty and exciting as the sugary options, and everyone can take their pick of the menu without waiting for their favourite course to indulge in a treat.

It’s the first and only French toast cafe in the city and although plenty of other spots have French toast on the menu, none do it as well as Crome. Their sweet toppings are some of the best deserts in London and the extensive coffee menu, made with Brazilian beans and freshly roasted in the city, is not to be missed.

Crome London is open from 11am – 11pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 11pm Saturday and Sunday.
